How do I cancel Ascend Plus?
Subscriptions are managed by Apple, so you cancel through your Apple ID:
- Open the Settings app on your iPhone.
- Tap your name, then Subscriptions.
- Choose Ascend and tap Cancel Subscription.
You keep Plus until the end of the period you’ve paid for. To avoid being charged when a free trial ends, cancel at least 24 hours before it finishes. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
How is my rank calculated?
Every exercise has its own MMR from 0 to 14,000. When you finish a workout, Ascend takes your best set for each exercise and turns it into an estimated one-rep max (the Epley formula), then scores it relative to your bodyweight and biological sex.
Bench press, squat and deadlift use Wilks-2 coefficients, the standard used in powerlifting. Over 140 other exercises use bodyweight-scaled strength standards. Your MMR places you in one of eight tiers — Copper, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Emerald, Diamond and Champion — each with five divisions (V up to I). Champion is a single rank at the top.
Can my rank go down?
No. Ranks are based on your best performance, so a tough day, a deload or a break never costs you a rank you’ve earned.
Is my data private?
Your workouts, body measurements, nutrition and progress photos are private to you. Other users only see your username, display name, profile picture, ranks, level, title and clan activity. We don’t sell data and don’t use advertising trackers, and payments are handled entirely by Apple — we never see your card details.

How do I delete my account?
In the app, go to Settings and choose Delete Account. This permanently deletes your account and all of its data. If you subscribe to Ascend Plus, cancel it in your Apple ID settings too.
I got a new phone. How do I get Ascend Plus back?
Sign in with the same Ascend account, then tap Restore Purchases in Settings using the same Apple ID you subscribed with.
What’s free and what’s in Ascend Plus?
Ranks, clans, clan wars, workout logging, achievements, titles, quests and PR tracking are all free. Ascend Plus adds full-history charts, unlimited routines, every theme (including animated Plus themes), supplement tracking and a supporter badge. Rank themes can only ever be earned.
